Mysteries of Chokmah:
As the second sphere on the
Tree of Life, Chokmah represents harmonious movement above the abyss. Like trying to view the planet Neptune
with your naked eye, the complete view of Chokmah's harmonious action is just
outside of the skill set of humans.
In Kether we have the seed-of-an-idea, in Chokmah the same seed is transmitted from divinity directly to our consciousness. This transmission occurs in the harmony of metaphysics, without any of the friction that normally occurs in acts of manifestation (below the abyss).
If there is a so-called god particle, it would be the operation of the three supernals (above the Abyss). This seed of an idea is much like the particle or neutrino of modern physics which disappears and reappears, sometimes even simultaneously, and at faster than the speed of light.
Chokmah is the male aspect of
the occult trinity, which is harmoniously orchestrating our manifestation at
all times.
The fourfold nature of
Chokmah is revealed in the Minor Arcana 2s.
Study of the 2s can lead to a divine transmission of wisdom, and should
be considered some of the highest of Theurgic vibrations available to the
practicing magus.
The twofold nature of Chokmah
is revealed in its placement on the tree.
Chokmah is directly and intimately connected with Kether (godhead), yet
readily available to the magus. Chokmah
is like an emissary between metaphysics and manifestation, and implies teaching
or transmission of experience & efforts, into wisdom & hard-result.

Pair of Angels Ruling Disks: labkl
hyrcw
The
Two of Disks represents the Earthy aspect of the fourfold Chokmah. The Serpent of change is in the position of
the Oroborus and adds the
attribution
of "infinity" to the equation of "change". With Jupiter in Capricorn it signifies a
personal change; one that was destined by Capricorn, and
conducted
by the ever so patient and powerful Jupiter. The Two of Disk's part in the entire workings
of the Kether-Chokmah-Binah trinity is harmonious
change,
leading to an earthy rock-solid stability.
These
two Disks are the Yin & Yang of Hsiang; fashioned in the appropriate
flashing-colors, stacked, and are counter-rotating spheres-of-Jupiter &
Capricorn. This signifies a rare moment of clarity,
where divinity's ideas-for-change, and your ideas-for-change intermingle,
agree, and coincide. The
planetary,
and astrological attributions, combined with the equilibrium of the yin yang
symbol, then actualized by the elemental attributions which are
assigned
to the points in the yin yang; ultimately potentiate the formulae implied, by
building a magickal-bridge between metaphysics and
manifestation.
In
a card reading the 2 of Disks will represent an aspect of "change" in
relation to the dominant trump in the throw.
This aspect of change is minor in
nature,
and will affect the situation in regards to a trump, though if a court card is
dominant in your throw; than this "change" could be transmitted to
whoever
the court card represents, even you.
Pair
of Angels Ruling Wands:
lawhw laynd
The Two of Wands represents the Fiery
aspect of the fourfold Chokmah. Mars in
Aries is in a natural position of power which dictates this
"dominion". In Crowley's Book
of Thoth, he writes that the card "represents
the Will in its most exalted form".
The theme of Chokmah is divine
transmission, and here we have a fine example of such. Dominion is a revelation that god's will and
your will are essentially the same, and as divine will travels downwards, our
will travels upwards; where meeting in the middle, they beat in harmonious
synchronicity, like a wonderful heart.
There is a war-like quality to the
image with the crossed Tibetan Dorjes, or thunderbolts representing destructive
elements of manifestation, yet celestial in nature, driven by love. The motivations for this love are hidden, and
swept aside, as the pure-will assuages itself towards its destruction. This destruction is the first process of
creation. If you ponder this card long
enough you may witness the cherry pop; then boom; your in. Your dominion got its way, and will get its
way.
In a card reading the 2 of Wands will
represent an aspect of "dominion" in relation to the dominant trump
in the throw. This aspect of "dominion"
is minor in nature, and will affect the situation in regards to a trump, though
if a court card is dominant in your throw; than this "dominion" could
be transmitted over to whoever the court card represents, even you. This card should be considered a descriptor
rather than a focal point, much like all of the minor arcana cards.
Pair of Angels Ruling Air: lalzy lahbm
The Two of Swords represents the Airy
aspect of the fourfold Chokmah. The Moon
in Libra, or Peace in change, or the perfect balance between the two. When fire and water finally stabilize after
the marriage, crystallization occurs as the spiritual essence of
"peace". This crystallization
is growing into divine wisdom.
Two swords crossed in solidarity for
peace. The five petal blue rose is representative of Mother's influence. The
white geometric flowers with
the geometrically shaped guidelines are
evidence of the influence of Kether. The
geometric shapes and guidelines are in the act of translating
a divine message from Kether via the
intelligence of the elemental Air. Peace
in Change is also upheld through the law and Justice of the
Sword.
In a card reading the 2 of Swords will
represent an aspect of "peace" in relation to the dominant trump in
the throw. This aspect of
"peace" is minor in nature,
and will affect the situation in regards to a trump, though if a court card is
dominant in your throw; than this
"peace" could be transmitted
over to whoever the court card represents, even you. This card should be considered a descriptor
rather than a
focal point, much like all of the
minor arcana cards.
Pair of angels Ruling Water: laoya hywb
The Two of Cups
represents the Watery aspect of the fourfold Chokmah. The Lord of Love under Will, as Venus in
Cancer, with Jupiter exalted, and Cancer being the house of the Moon, make this
a very nice card. Twin dolphin are fed
water from a floating lotus blossom, representing the male and female energies
languishing in the comfort of each other. The juice flowing out of the Lotus
and into the cups is the essence of Kether in constant flow.
This card
represents a very natural kind of Love, the kind who un-invoked will burst from
within and dominate your will. Much like
the love of your favorite hobby, food, friend, car, or personal-fun of any
kind. This "love" is also the
perfect fuel for understanding; so take and give what you need, as there is
plenty to go around.
In a card
reading the 2 of Cups will represent an aspect of "love" in relation
to the dominant trump in the throw. This
aspect of
"love"
is minor in nature, and will affect the situation in regards to a trump, though
if a court card is dominant in your throw; than this
"love"
could be transmitted over to whoever the court card represents, even you. This card should be considered a descriptor
rather than a
focal point,
much like all of the minor arcana cards.
