Mysteries of Netzach:
As the seventh sphere
on the tree of life, located below the abyss, Netzach represents Failure,
Valour, Futility, and Debauchery.
Crowley wrote that Netzach had descended too far down into illusion and was
out of balance on the tree. I wanted not
to believe this. I wanted to align my
opinion with pop culture's and the commonly heard "seven is my favorite
number" statement. I've never
questioned why casinos use "777" as the famous jackpot number. Seven is always painted as the best and most
lucky numbers of all, but is that an illusion?
Doing the art, and writing the chapters for this book, have caused me to
"live the chapters". I've
learned a lot about seven. It's like my
whole life has been in a twilight zone retrograde for this one chapter. Seven should be called the great
teacher. It will teach you appreciation,
dedication, and will power, through severity.
You will learn to appreciate
everything like never before. Every bite of food, every opportunity, every
family member, every friend, and you will be blessed with the vision to see
whom your real friends are. During this
time you will be blinded in ignorance, and oversaturated in understanding &
empathy. Your lack of means will rear
its ugly head every chance it gets, and good luck will be thrown by the wayside
as the norm. "777" and the
opportunities of it's jackpot, becomes very shiny, and the illusion of it
ultimately becomes clear; it is not for you, none of it is, and it never was. So whether in valour, or debauchery, just accept
the futility of your failure, and with this, also consider the illusion of
seven vs. the reality of it. Below in

magick of Netzach.
The 7 of Disks "FAILURE" represents the Earthy aspect of the fourfold Netzach. In a card
reading the 7 of Disks will represent an aspect of "FAILURE" in
relation to the dominant trump in the throw.
This aspect of " FAILURE" is minor in nature and will affect
the situation in regards to a trump, though if a court card is dominant in your
throw; than this "FAILURE" could be transmitted to whoever the court
card represents, even you. This card
represents The Saturn in Taurus. We see
seven silver discs growing on a night time dried out cultivated-palm of some
sort. The name of this card speaks for itself, but don't give it too much
power. Remember that you are to apply
this failure-flavor to a single Trump or Court card in a throw, nothing really
more. No, you're not a "FAILURE"
if you get this card in a pull, though it does represent not really doing too
well in a trump represented situation.
The 7 of Cups
"DEBAUCH"
represents the Watery aspect of the fourfold Netzach. In a card reading the 7 of Cups will
represent an aspect of "DEBAUCH" in relation to the dominant trump in
the throw. This aspect of "DEBAUCH"
is minor in nature and will affect the situation in regards to a trump, though
if a court card is dominant in your throw, than this "DEBAUCH" could
be transmitted to whoever the court card represents, even you. This card represents Venus in Scorpio. We see six iridescent cups in the
background, with an out of balance extra large lower seventh cup, all being fed
green slime from wilted lotus blossoms.
Under a dark overcast sky, the cups are all filled over and floating in
a sea of bubbling green slime. In a
reading this card will almost always indicate over-partying of some kind. Whether it be sex, drugs, or rock n roll;
your doing too much. The surrounding
cards will be the giveaway. I usually
sigh when I see this card show up.
