Appearance:

Looking at this card is like looking into the Orphic Egg itself, there is Diana (the Huntress) in a green dress covered in honeybees. A a seven disc design on the front, could indicate Initiation or an understanding of planetary ascension.   This same design also resembles a Many Breasted Isis: Patroness of Theurgy.

She is half white, half black, even androgynous, an Initiate after the mystical marriage. Diana should be considered a translation of other goddesses, such as the Virgin Artemis, the Great Fertility Mother, Diana of the Ephesians, or even Nepthys.

Almost hidden, located directly over her lowest breast is an upwards pointing arrow, this is symbolic of the arrow piercing the rainbow, then travelling from the Lunar Yesod, upwards to the Solar Tipareth, where the Mystical Marriage has been consummated, and a visible transformation has taken place. This transformation should be considered the result of the alchemical process of Initiation.

With the logistics of VI Lovers being the polar opposite of XIV ART, and then looking at both cards, it becomes obvious that a transformation has taken place.

The Lion and the Eagle have now switched colors.  The black & white Isis is now one androgynous person.  The bees and snakes are now united, and if you keep looking at both cards, you will see that all of the aspects of VI Lovers have transformed into the temperance of XIV ART.

Diana pours her love, into the cauldron. Inside is a successful alchemical mixing of Fire & water. On the ground, is the same fire/water mixture, yet still in opposition, snapping, crackling, popping, and steaming, even corrosive in this state.

Also in the cauldron is the fire/water mixture, which is poured from the black & white arms of Isis, then mixed with the blood, which is dripping from the claws of the white lion, and saliva from the war-beak of the red eagle.

XIV ART stands for Sagittarius, which means "an archer", and signifies the successful result of alchemically intermingling fire & water. The lion & the eagle have insured the success of the operation, and its continuance. This continuance can be looked at, as one would witness the oxidation of metal into rust.

The mineral-world transforming is "result", in the growth of the original base metal.  Different manifestations, yet of similar essence, and identical spirit: metempsychosis.

Interpretation:

In a reading XIV ART will indicate either things that are going on behind the scenes, or it is an indication that result is coming soon.  The surrounding cards will illuminate the situation, for example:

• A few Court cards and some low-numbered Minors would indicate, people manipulating things from behind the scenes….bad or good depending on the Minors in the hand.
• XIV ART with a Trump and some Minors would indicate, that a result is coming soon, and the surrounding Minors and Trumps will indicate, on what level the "result" will be.
• If XIV ART is pulled near a Court card and a Trump or two; it could symbolize awakenings, or technical knowledge of the inner workings of complex situations.

It can sometimes indicate that behind the scenes someone is representing you or manipulating a situation, in some sort of way. Clarification cards will always hone-in on the situation, and the Court cards will reveal the players.

Secret waters flow through hidden caverns & deep underground rivers, they meet up after very diverse journeys. This diversity is the result of an alchemical operation. The initial results are just the crackling & popping of the base ingredients, then as steam fills the atmosphere. (clouding the vision of the vulgar), but those with eyes, see the reflection of fire in the puddle of cool-crisp-water. No sizzle, no pop, no steam, just the flickering, wavering, reflection of the secret flame, which burns in the heart of the initiate.

Kind of like the arrow mentioned above, there is a rainbow which lifts the arrow, transforming it into the twin rainbows, which are the construct of Diana's cape. This is indicative of equilibrium.

Unbeknownst to most, but well known to the Initiate, equilibrium is an apparatus, which can be utilized to its full potential by certain magickal formula. These operations are potentiated by oath, service, breath, and light. They are kept secret due to oath.   The secret of equilibrium and its formula are forever stored in the baseball diamond.
