Appearance: Taking place under the abyss: The Himalayan Mountain Goat stands on the exposed testicles of a phallic or solar tree of life. This hieroglyph could be considered a translation of Pan Pangenetor. In front of the tree stands the wand of the chief adept supporting the Egyptian winged red globe. The tree of life pierces the veil of Nuith's body, and the branches are out of perspective, the Abyss swims with the spirits of future lives, whilst the souls of those same future lives boil in the infinity of the Solar Testicles which are also the Roots of the Tree of Life.  Embracing the base of the phallic tree, is a grey personage in obvious worship. In the Eliphaz Levi version of this card, the Caduceus of Hermes is growing directly out of his groin, and the archetype is in the position of "as above-so below", with "Solve Coagula" written on his arms. This card represents the will directed outward in its purest form, one that is fueled purely by lust of result. It could be called raw-will, driven will, self-centered will, or even exposed will, will without concern for anything else, except result. Crowley called it; creative energy in its most material form. Crowley – Book of Thoth.

Baphomet represents the animal instincts. In Indian terms: Ida Nadi & Pingala Nadi. They represent the last two instincts left in mankind, these instincts are:

• The will to survive as a person.
• The will to survive as a species.

The hieroglyph would be an indication of the higher self, Sushmanna Nadi gaining control over his lower instincts. This condition is depicted perfectly in Eliphaz Levi's version of XV Baphomet. Crowley – Book of the Law, chapter 1, verse 42, 43 and 44, the goddess Nuith speaks:

• 42: Let it be state of manyhood bound and loathing. So with thy all; thou hast no right but to do thy will.
• 43: Do that, and no other shall say nay.
• 44: For pure will, in assuaged of purpose delivered from the lust of result, is every way perfect

Interpretation: Your inner self is awakening, much like the Wand of the Chief Adept, which is rising out of the phallic nature of Baphomet. This card would indicate that it is a good time to consider listening to your inner voice. Do not give in to laziness or be seduced by the attraction of debauchery as these types of activities will drain your resources and waste your time. Laziness goes against the cycles of the Universe and will not foster the saturnine gift that we all seek. This card in a reading is going to be revealing personal information about the Querent, and depending on the situation during the reading,(such as the other people in the room) the true meaning of this card may not come out at that time. That could also depend on the relationship you have with the subject, for instance; can you speak openly about anything, without the risk of insult or injury? In the mundane, the tarot trump XV Baphomet would indicate conditions associated with the lower portions of the instincts, such as; acts of Lust or Debauchery, it would be personal for each subject, the court cards and minor arcana can shed light on these situations. Sometimes it will reveal somewhat dark information about the Querent, though for the most part, it is not a bad card. "Facing your demons" would be a one way to describe it. 

The Mysteries: The aspirant is really starting to conceive of aspects of the ineffable mystery. Worn like a beret; the Himalayan Mountain Goat shows off his Blue Morning Glory and Blue Marijuana Leaf head-dress. The psychedelic action of LSD and Marijuana have opened the third eye of the Goat, and the Mercurial Caduceus has spread its wings, this would signify the aspirant starting to put it all together, they are "getting-it". Looking closely at the polar opposite card of VII Chariot; notice that a complete transformation has taken place; the ideas inspired by the psychedelic head-dress of the Himalayan Mountain Goat have become a decorative aspect of the Chariot's armor, the Caduceus has transformed into the shield, and the souls which were brewing in the Solar testicles of the tree of Baphomet have transformed into the Cherubs of the four corners, and now pull the Chariot. The tree has been cut down and a Chariot constructed. The transformation can be assisted by this exercise: Take the two cards; VII CHARIOT and XV BAPHOMET and placing them side by side; looking at them together at about an arms-length away; slightly cross your eyes until you can see the created-third-image made up from aspects of both cards; stare at that and vibrate the above mantra; meditate, transform, and feel the love and gift of Baphomet, with the full protection and movement of the Chariot.

I MAGUS - Magus of Power - Glowing or Transparent Consciousness

Forward: The traditional card was called The Juggler, and the Hebrew attribution could have been Aleph or Beth depending on the deck. In the old card the Fool topped with the Hat of Infinity, stood Juggling or raising the Hollow Wand of Prometheus (a hollow wand with a round knob at each end) with his right hand, and pointing down with his empty left hand, while all his magickal implements lay un-utilized on the table. On the Morgan Greer pack, his staff and sword lay crossed near a red rose, symbolizing the Rose Cross. Both the traditional card and the Thoth would represent the aspirant awakening to the mystery, and starting to develop spiritualism and personal dogmas.

Appearance: In 0 F00L we discussed the "three paths of initiation": I MAGUS could be considered as synonymous with 0 F00L's adventures while on his second trip through the paths of Initiation. 

He has now shed his green 0 F00L's suit and is soaking up the rays of S0L as I MAGUS. Flying in the air all around this androgynous archetype are the magickal implements necessary to transform him into the Adam Kadmon man (Adam Kadmon to the Cabbalist as the Logos or First Anointed, or to the Hindus; Vishnu holding the lost Veda). His/her will is extending upwards in a staff, which at the top is attached the Saturnine gift of the Anointed Dove.

The awakening knowledge of the aspirant is indicated in the twin serpents of Ida and Pingala Nadi which extend downwards from the Wings of Saturn, wrapping around the Staff and directly into the consciousness of the Fool. This hieroglyph represents that the aspirant wants to understand the mystery as badly as the cosmos wants to share it. If you can extend your will correctly, it would indicate your eventual success. 

Mr. Crowley must have had a premonition of the future, as 0 F00L is walking heel-to-tow down the length of a sixty's style longboard surfboard, all while surfing the Waves of Jupiter.  He/she is stabilized and even propelled by the Mercurial Wings (also known as Red Wings) that are attached to the legs.  Please note the surfing leash, attaching the leg to the surfboard. This would symbolize the Equilibrium that is found in the planetary aspects of Theurgy, especially after working with Mercury.  

The scribe's roll and the stylus that float nearby would indicate that for the aspirant to unravel the ineffable he/she must study and start to re-translate the mystery for him-or-herself.  Crowley presented Djehuti in the Greco-Egyptian tradition as a scribe, with the Hindu aspect of Hanuman as the Ape of Thoth. My good friend Carrie Paris recently pointed out that the ape on this card had two left feet and two left hands. The Hindu aspect of Hanuman was represented in the highly de-graded version of this Ape-God. Crowley wrote that the adepts of this sect of Hindus would send their women out into the jungles; which would somehow incarnate their Deity. Crowley finding no measurable spirituality in their practices decided to use this Ape to signify the vulgar people that tend to follow the occult scribe; then misunderstanding the Mystery will vulgarize and misrepresent the words. 

Due to either oaths of silence or because of the Apes of Thoth situation, occult writers tend to utilize diverse methods to insure that the mundane masses will either, one, not understand; or two, run away screaming in fear. It is obvious that if the modern entry-level occultist properly understood this situation, they would probably be much more open to learning from the older occult masterpieces.

The implements that surround the fool are all in action, or movement, even if they are not being actually utilized yet. The Anointed Dove that is being delivered by Saturn and the Sun, is dropping the stylus and scroll directly into his/her hands,  The Phoenix Wand appears to be flying upwards towards his right hand. The Orphic Egg has grown wings and has taken flight. The Cup, which is well within reach is filled with a swirling gaseous cloud. The Wand which is also in reach is flaming brightly.  The Pentacle with a Mercurial eight-pointed star signifies change/growth in earthly matters as well as spiritual, even magickal matters. The Sword which hovers near Hanuman (Ape of Thoth), signifies the pain/frustration aspects of the difficult situations that the vulgar bring when they misunderstand the logos.

This next-level Fool is being birthed from the womb of the goddess, which is represented in the white "V" behind our archetype. 

Notice the guide lines which are prevalent all around the image; they are emanating from X F0RTUNE and could be called the Waves of Jupiter. These guide wires are the currents of the mundane-world which can prod you off-course if you're not careful. But no worries, because if they do, just remember; "all roads lead to Rome". The 12^th path on the Tree of Life; from the Crown of Kether 1, to the Understanding of Binah 2, representing the Hebrew Aleph, and ruled by the planet Mercury, with influences from S0L, Jupiter, and Saturn; this card would represent that the seed of the ineffable has sprouted, and that the aspirant is in a period of expansion in relation to magick, occult, and personal intellectual capacity.

Interpretation: In a reading, it will usually indicate that the Querent is not bringing everything to the table in their situation. Usually the other cards will enlighten as to just-what was left on the table. It also represents that your Querent now understands the situation that the reader is revealing, and that during the time of the situation, the Querent had feelings or intuition that they did not act on. Another scenario is where the Querent had such good-intent, that they did not do everything that they could have in their situation. That combined with someone in their circle who "did not understand", took actions that have adversely affected the situation. Scenarios like the ones described above will be illuminated by the Court, Minors, and even other Trumps. 

The Mysteries: Deep in a crystal cavern directly in the heart of mother Earth, we hear the sound of chalk; franticly clicking and clacking.
